The USA, which has always been Ferrari’s primary market, and Canada together have posted an increase in sales of nearly 20 per cent compared to the previous year, with more than 1750 cars sold.

This record is particularly significant in the light of the continuing challenges of the economic climate in North America. The company’s two V8-engined models – the Ferrari California and the 458 Italia, sales of the latter having started in the summer of 2010 – have met with considerable success.

The number of dealers has also increased, and American Ferrari owners can now count on 36 dealers across the nation to deliver levels of customer service to match the performance of their supercars. Last year also saw the complete renovation of the New York Ferrari show room in prestigious Park Avenue, with a Ferrari Store matching the size of the showroom opening next door, effectively doubling Ferrari’s representation in Manhattan.

During 2010 Ferrari North America continued its commitment charity events, auctioning the first 458 Italia imported to raise funds for relief aid in Haiti.
