Corbus, India Gives Back to the Community

Corbus, India Gives Back to the Community

January 9, 2011 – The Corbus, LLC teams in its Noida and Gurgaon, India offices banded together to supply those in need with stationery, toys and clothes of all sizes through the GOONJ organization. During the drive that lasted from December 12-31, Corbus collected 15 cartons full of resources to donate. Corbus actively supports community drives for those without.

“We are proud to partner with an organization like GOONJ that is making such a difference in our community,” said Dr. Amit Shekhar, Senior Vice President, India Operations Head. “With so many blessings of our own, we are committed to helping others make their lives better. Hosting this drive during the holiday season is a reminder of how fortunate we are and how every little donation can make a big difference.”

GOONJ focuses on collecting clothing and material items, but donations to this organization also go to build schools, dig wells and construct bridges. Stationary items go to schools to educate underprivileged students. The GOONJ approach is to reuse all material items from a small piece of cloth to a swing set. GOONJ has a network in 21 India states.
