GLOBE 2012 Attracts Influential Policy-Makers

VANCOUVER, Canada, Feb. 13 /CSRwire/ - Environmental policy-makers are attending GLOBE 2012 in Vancouver this March 14-16, 2012. In attendance at the 12th edition of this internationally renowned conference focused on the business of the environment will be Alberta Minister of the Environment Dianna McQueen and Quebec Minister of the Environment Pierre Arcand. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Assistant Administrator, Office of Air and Radiation, Gina McCarthy will also be in attendance.

“The decisions made by environmental policy-makers are critical to today’s broader economic realities,” says John Wiebe, President and CEO of the GLOBE Foundation. “These are the people who play a leading role in shaping the environmental policies that will inevitably influence and determine the economic path forward.”

Providing perspective on key policy challenges, including managing greenhouse gas emissions, developing natural resources and growing a cleaner economy, these top-level government decision-makers will allow for comprehensive discussions on business and environmental issues at GLOBE 2012.

They will join more than 130 other speakers from world-leading corporations and organizations at North America’s largest and longest-running international conference series dedicated to the business of the environment. Speakers from some of the world’s most environmentally forward-thinking companies will gather in Vancouver to spark a dialogue on issues including corporate sustainability, clean energy, climate change, emissions management, sustainable finance, and greener cities.
