Haniyeh: Blockade Increases Unemployment

Gaza-Interior Ministry
Mr.Ismail Haniyeh ,the head of the Palestinian
government in Gaza, has confirmed that the blockade imposed
on Gaza Strip for more than five years, prevents a lot of
university graduates obtaining suitable jobs using their
degrees.
Haniyeh said on Wednesday at a news conference after a tour of some schools in Gaza City that the number of graduates in the strip is very large, calling for assistance to help the Arab Palestinian rights and strengthen their steadfastness.
He said: "During the foreign tours with our Arab brothers, we talked about the need to accommodate the numbers of university graduates, and there were positive promise to follow up with executive decisions from the Arab countries."
On Wednesday 26 thousand graduates, distributed in 70 commissions sat written examination for jobs in the Ministry of Education directorates.
Haniyeh noted that the large number of applicants passing the examinations increased the rate of unemployment among the Palestinian graduates of universities in Gaza.
He pointed out that the government's doors are
always open to the public position for all graduates without
exception
.
