Hasan el-Safadi and his mother are now in a critical condition, after many days of a food strike.
Hasan el-Safadi started the open-ended food strike 51 days ago, demanding an end to administrative arrest and for improving the conditions of detention.
His mother, Um Fareed, of Nablus, started the food strike more than a month ago, in sympathy with her son and the other strikers
