Photo essay - 20th day of the Battle of the Empty Stomachs in Al Jundy
On the 20th day of the Battle of Empty Stomachs, Al Jundy Square of the Unknown Soldier in Gaza City has become a small city of support. Besides the growing numbers camping out here on hunger strike or in their support, there is a constant flow of people coming through to show their support, perform, watch, speak, listen, dance, or just talk. The common thread is an absolute determination not to give up until Israel meets its obligations under international law, and agrees to the prisoners' demands.
