Accepting The Official View On Fiji
Accepting The Official View On Fiji
Editor,
Fr Kevin Barr has got this one the wrong way round. It is not Graham Davis who is "falling into the trap of accepting unquestioningly the official interpretation of events[in Fiji]" (Letters FS 11/1), it is Graham Davis the expatriate Australian self-styled "independent" journalist hired by the Fiji military junta who gets others, both local and oversea,to fall into the trap of uncritically accepting the official version of events in Fiji. Graham Davis is the junta's spin doctor. That is now such an open secret that even the "independent" Graham Davis admits it!
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu
