Fiji Politics and Constitutional Developments
Bula Vinaka & Greetings
As an update of political developments in Fiji, you may know that the military regime's 2013 Constitution was unveiled last week where all the main political parties boycotted and condemned it as having no mandate or legitimacy from the people.
I have attached below a copy for your information plus the media statement by the group of parties opposed to it.
We're planning a protest march in Wellington to coincide with the planned promulgation of the military's constitution on 06 September, where Fijians and supporters from unions, community and churches etc will join in to show our opposition to the ongoing repression of the rights of Fijians to choose their own government and how they are governed.
