Solemn Ceremonies: 50th Anniversary of Kennedy Assassination
Solemn Ceremonies Mark 50th Anniversary of Kennedy Assassination
On November 23, the United States will mark 50 years since the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
Memories remain vivid for those Americans who heard the shocking news from Dallas and witnessed a nation’s outpouring of grief in the days that followed.
In advance of the anniversary, President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, along with members of the Kennedy family, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony November 20 at Kennedy’s grave in Arlington National Cemetery.
