Palestinian Authorities make appeal amid bad weather
Gaza : Deteriorating humanitarian situation Amid Bad Weather, Tightened Siege
The Palestinian authorities in Gaza appeal to international organizations, including the UN, to urgently save the Gaza Strip from its deteriorating humanitarian situation resulting from the blockade and the harsh weather conditions.
"Gaza could be soon unsuitable for human life completely because of the tightening blockade, the ongoing power outages, the fuel shortage and deficient resources," Minister of Interior Affairs Fathi Hammad told a news conference on Wednesday.
"The blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip has affected all aspects of life in light of the low-pressure weather," Hammad added.
"With worn-out and basic equipment, we are trying to reach and save people affected, and transfer them to safe places," he stated.
The Minister called on the Arab and Muslim countries and the world's free people to extend a helping hand to Gaza, and save it from its misery.
