Christopher Painter, the Coordinator for Cyber Issues, traveled to Israel September 13-16 to deliver remarks at the Fourth Annual International Cybersecurity Conference at Tel Aviv University. The four-day conference brought together leading international cyber experts, policymakers, researchers, security officials, and diplomats for an exchange of knowledge, methods and ideas concerning evolving cyber technologies. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave the conference keynote.
While in Israel, Coordinator Painter also discussed cyber policy issues with representatives from the Israeli National Cyber Bureau and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and visited CyberSpark, the Israeli cyber ecosystem in Beersheva.
