We congratulate the European Space Agency (ESA) on its successful landing of an unmanned spacecraft on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko today. The Rosetta mission will help scientists learn more about the role comets might have played in the origin and evolution of our solar system. This is a great achievement for science and space exploration. The United States is proud of our NASA collaboration with ESA on this mission, a successful and historic example of international science cooperation and science diplomacy.
