Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Ash Carter will host the U.S.-Japan Security Consultative Committee (2+2) meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani on Monday, April 27, in New York City.
They will discuss security and defense issue relevant to the U.S.-Japan alliance.
Secretary Kerry, Secretary Carter, Japanese Foreign Minister Kishida, and Japanese Defense Minister Nakatani will meet at 9:30 a.m., at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The camera spray preceding the meeting will be pooled press coverage.
Following the meeting, Secretary Kerry, Secretary Carter, and their Japanese counterparts will hold a joint press availability.
