October 24: National March to STOP Police Terror: Which Side are You On?

WHEN & WHERE:
* 11am gather at Washington Square Park, NYC
* 1pm permitted march to the center of Manhattan
* 3pm Closing Rally at Bryant Park

Students, religious congregations, contingents from housing projects, and people from all across the country will gather in the thousands and thousands and march demanding: STOP Police Terror! Which Side Are You On? The march will be led by 100 families who have lost loved-ones to police violence, the largest such gathering of families ever.

Speakers will include #RiseUpOctober co-initiators Cornel West and Carl Dix, author and playwright Eve Ensler, filmmaker and Co-Director of Sankofa.org Gina Belafonte, Rev. Stephen Phelps, author, professor and filmmaker Jamal Joseph, stolen lives families, students and more.

"We are rallying & marching with this one simple & profound demand:
STOP Police Terror," says #RiseUpOctober organizer Debra Sweet. "Bring your contingents, your signs & banners, your strollers & children, your drums & horns. This will be a dignified, serious, joyful & militant march, because this epidemic of police killing people has got to stop!"
