Kiwis contesting Australian kart title final in Geelong

KIWIS CONTESTING AUSTRALIAN KART TITLE FINAL IN GEELONG

30-10-15

Young Kiwi karters Ryan Wood and Connor Davison are in Australia this weekend contesting the KA 12 class at the final round of this year's Australian Kart Championship presented by Jayco and Castrol Edge in Geelong.

Wood, from Wellington, is fresh from adding the North Island Vortex Mini ROK title to the two National Schools ones he has won in the past two years.

Davison, meanwhile, is just back from Australia where the young Hamiltonian was the top Kiwi finisher at the big Race of Stars meeting in Queensland, qualifying on pole and ending up second in the KA 12 (Vortex Mini ROK) class.

He also finished fourth in class at the North Island championships last weekend.

A total of 180 drivers will be in action across eight classes throughout the weekend with the finals to be held from midday on Sunday and streamed live on karting.net.au.
