Unprecedented ANZ-Ukraine Forum 2026 To Forge Strategic Partnerships In Wartime Ukraine

An unprecedented conference is set to take place in Lviv, western Ukraine, between 1- 3 March 2026, bringing together leaders and innovators from Ukraine, Australia, and New Zealand for the first time.

The inaugural ANZ-Ukraine Forum 2026 will create new strategic, political, economic, and humanitarian opportunities, strengthening ties between Ukraine and its Oceania allies during a pivotal moment in history.

Supported by the Embassy of Ukraine for Australia and New Zealand, the Ukrainian World Congress, and the peak bodies representing Ukrainian communities in both Australia and New Zealand, the forum is designed to unite a powerful network of partners with a shared purpose.

Conference organiser Kate Turska, MNZM, who is also a board member of New Zealand Ukraine Business Association and the leader of the Ukrainian community in New Zealand, emphasised the forum’s unique value: “This event is the ideal platform for Australian and New Zealand participants who not only stand in solidarity with Ukraine, but also recognise the ‘first-mover advantage’ in building meaningful partnerships with Ukrainian colleagues.

Our mission is to ignite long-term collaborations that strengthen Ukraine’s future while creating shared value for global partners. We are committed to enabling practical, two-way opportunities for Australian and New Zealand stakeholders — across cooperation, trade, and mutual learning”, Ms Turska said.

The forum will focus on accelerating cooperation in key areas, including defence and resilience, innovation, business and investment, emergency response, and humanitarian and philanthropic support. Australia and New Zealand bring significant expertise and capabilities to each of these domains, and Ukraine brings operational experience and innovation that Australian and New Zealand partners can directly learn from and engage with.

Expressions of interest have already been received from public institutions, businesses, and non-government organisations across Ukraine, Australia, and New Zealand, many of whom are actively engaged in projects and partnerships within Ukraine.

Keynote speakers for ANZ-Ukraine Forum 2026 will be announced in the coming week.
