Storytellers For Peace Celebrates 10 Years With A Global Video Playlist For World Storytelling Day 2026

In 2026, the international storytelling initiative Storytellers for Peace celebrates its 10th anniversary with a new global project created for World Storytelling Day, the worldwide celebration of oral storytelling.

For this special occasion, storytellers, authors, actors, and artists from different countries are contributing to an international YouTube playlist of storytelling videos, inspired by the 2026 theme: “Light in the Dark.”

Founded in 2016 by writer and storyteller Alessandro Ghebreigziabiher, Storytellers for Peace is an international network of artists who create collective storytelling videos about peace, justice, equality, and human rights. Participants tell their stories in their native languages, creating multilingual works that bring together voices from different cultures in a shared narrative. (storytellersforpeace.com)

Over the past decade, the project has brought together storytellers from around the world to produce videos addressing global themes including children’s rights, international solidarity, migration, and environmental awareness.

The 2026 playlist marks both the group’s participation in World Storytelling Day and a milestone celebration of ten years of storytelling for peace:

Through short and powerful narratives, participating storytellers explore the idea that even in the darkest moments of history and human experience, stories can reveal unexpected light.

The playlist will be released and promoted online in March 2026 through the project’s official channels.
