North and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: Fine in most places. Showers slowly clearing from the eastern ranges tomorrow.

Bay of Plenty: Cloud and light showers clearing today, fine tomorrow.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Cloudy with light showers persisting.

Wellington and coastal Marlborough: Showers gradually clearing during tomorrow.

For Nelson, inland areas of Marlborough, also for the South Island west coast and Southland: Mostly fine and frosty. By the end of tomorrow cloud increasing south of the glaciers and about western Southland.

Canterbury and Otago: Fine and frosty inland, Coastal cloud and drizzle becoming confined to Canterbury tomorrow.

Chatham Islands: Showers continuing.
