Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Issued 6.10pm next issue 11.45pm.

Short Forecast valid to midnight tomorrow:

The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Wellington, also for the central high country: Showers and fine periods.

Bay of Plenty and northern Gisborne: Rain with heavy falls in the ranges until early tomorrow then clearing from the west.

Remainder of Gisborne to Wairarapa: A few showers overnight, tomorrow fine.

Nelson and the South Island west coast: Showers then clearing from central Westland southwards tomorrow.

Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland: A mix of cloudy and fine periods. A few showers continuing overnight about Northern Marlborough. Drizzle possible early tomorrow from Banks to Otago Peninsula.

Chatham Islands: Rain overnight and for much of tomorrow.
