Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Short Forecast valid to midnight tonight:

The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu,
also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Showers and fine
periods. Skies gradually clearing from the south in the afternoon
and evening.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Long fine periods but a few showers also
likely.

Wairarapa and Wellington, also coastal Marlborough: Cloudy with
outbreaks of rain. Fine spells increasing from the south
later in the day.

Nelson, inland areas of Marlborough, also for the South Island west
coast: Fine apart a few showers this morning about Nelson and
inland Marlborough.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland: Showers clearing from Canterbury
and coastal places further south this morning. Mainly fine about
inland Otago and Southland.

Chatham Islands: Rain at times.
