The north and west of the North Island
from Northland to Manawatu, also for the volcanic plateau
and Bay of Plenty: Widespread rain this evening with some
heavy falls likely from northern Taranaki to Waikato.
Tomorrow, rain easing to
showers.
In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa including Wellington: Patchy rain this evening and overnight. Tomorrow, rain easing to showers.
Nelson and Buller: Rain this evening with heavy falls likely in the western ranges. Rain clearing overnight and becoming mainly fine tomorrow.
For Westland and Fiordland: Fine or becoming fine from this evening.
Marlborough to Otago also for Southland: Rain clearing overnight. Tomorrow, showers and southerlies spread north reaching Marlborough by evening with snow lowering on the ranges.
Chatham Islands: Showers easing this evening. Rain developing tomorrow.
