Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago apart from the south coast: Mostly fine today. Showers and southerlies spread north overnight. Tomorrow showers slowly clearing from the coast with long fine breaks inland.
Buller and Westland: Cloudy conditions. Some drizzle likely Later today. Tomorrow, morning showers clearing from the south.
Fiordland, Southland and south Otago: Cloudy skies. Patchy rain becoming confined to the fiords. Cold showery weather developing from the south late tonight. Tomorrow, a few showers remain about the coast but becoming fine inland.
Chatham Islands: A few showers today becoming more persistent tomorrow.
