Police report that State Highway 7 and 7A are recieving highwinds and rain at present resulting in many tree branches and slips occuring in the Hamner Plains, Hamner , Culverton and Waiau areas. police request that people stay at home unless travel is absolutely necessary and drive usng extreme caution. Police and OPUS are attempting to clear hazards asap.
