North Shore Police are investigating an
incident on Browns Bay Beach last Friday night, the 19th of
October 2007, where a disoriented young woman was found
semi-clothed and in a distressed state. Police are
attempting to piece together events leading up to her
discovery at around 2.00 am.
Police are looking for items of female clothing.
They consist of a pair of women's blue denim jeans; size 7 Adidas running shoes, white in colour with lime green material detailing and red orthotic insoles and; two black Adidas sports socks with the Adidas logo in white on the sole.
Police are also attempting to locate three women who may be witnesses to the incident.
They were at 'Speakers Corner' Bar and then 'Echo' Bar on Clyde Road Browns Bay
The women are described as
1 Caucasian
1 Malaysian / Indian
1 part Maori
They were all described as being aged around 30 years of age.
The Malaysian woman was declined entry to 'Speakers Corner' due to a lack of suitable identification, but returned a short time later with a Malaysian Passport to confirm her age.
The group then went to 'Echo' on the main Road of Browns Bay and stayed until the closing time of 1am.
