Christchurch Airport remains open and fully
operational following the
major earthquake on Saturday 4
September.
The domestic and international terminals
and the runways have been
certified by engineers as
structurally sound and continue to be assessed
on a
regular basis to ensure passenger safety.
All public
areas are open and fully functional. All retail,
including
food and beverage outlets, are also operating
as normal.
The airport water source has been tested
and is safe to drink.
Most Flights are running on
schedule with no delays.
98% of tourism operators in
the Christchurch and Canterbury area are
open and fully
functional with no significant
damage.
