CCC Update 1630 Monday 15 August 2011
Roads
Crews
have now cleared main roads of snow. However, the
Christchurch City Council is urging motorist to drive with
extreme care and to watch out for surface water as snow
melts.
With more snow expected overnight the Council is warning motorists to stay off hill areas.
Kerbside Collection
The Council urges people
to leave their wheelie bins out and the contractor will
collect them when possible. Depending on weather conditions
tomorrow, kerbside collection is expected to start at
7.00am. Collection will begin from Monday's collection area
first.
Another update will be issued at 7am tomorrow.
