Cyclone Gita update #4
Cyclone Gita update #4
Horizons Regional Council
emergency management staff were out and about monitoring the
impacts of Cyclone Gita overnight. There were no reported
issues of storm surge issues and the barrier at Foxton Beach
was not required. There were a number of reported power
outages however these are steadily coming back online.
Councils will be assessing any potential local damage
this morning and if you have any questions about this we
suggest contacting them directly. Fortunately our region
avoided the worst of it and we don’t anticipate any
further issues.
