TVNZ Response to Commerce Commission decision
TVNZ says the Commerce Commission's decision to allow Sky Television Network Ltd. to go ahead with the purchase of Prime Television is disappointing.
Board Chairman, Craig Boyce, says TVNZ provided the Commission with a comprehensive submission setting out its concerns about the impact on free-to-air broadcasting in New Zealand if the purchase went ahead.
However, the national broadcaster says it will not comment further until TVNZ has had the opportunity to fully consider the reasons supporting the Commission's decision.
