Her Greater Wellington Businesswoman of the Year 2011 Award finalists announced

Her Business Group Ltd has announced the finalists of the Her Greater Wellington Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2011, celebrating local businesswomen who continue to show leadership, excellence and innovation in their professions.

On Friday, 2 December the black-tie awards dinner will take place at the InterContinental Hotel, Wellington at 7pm. The keynote speaker will be acclaimed New Zealand comedian, writer and actress Michelle A’ Court.

Sally Connell, Franchise owner of Her Business Wellington, and MC for the evening, understands the importance these awards mean to businesswomen: “I believe more women need to be celebrated for their outstanding commitment and contribution to the New Zealand economy. I urge Wellingtonians to support this special event as it continues to showcase the best female business minds our region has to offer.”

The competition judges are Kirsten Ferguson from Duncan Cotterill Lawyers, Rachel Farrant from BDO New Zealand, Mark Russell from Ideas Shop, Tony Hope and Annah Stretton from Stretton Publishing.

There are eight award winning categories: Supreme, Best New Business, Best Micro Business, Best Small and Medium Enterprise, Most Inspirational Role Model, Outstanding Business Citizenship, Outstanding Business Leader and Sustainability Award.
