Cloud Based Marketing Software Gives Small Business New Tools

Tuesday 14 July 2015

A Dunedin company has developed an innovative cloud based marketing software solution to make it simple for small businesses to master the online environment to grow sales.

Amplifier is an online portal that brings small businesses social media, content management and customer relationship tools together in one simple, easy to use platform.

Media specialist and Amplifier creator Roy Hawker noticed advertising wasn’t having the traditional impact for many of his clients. Confronted with the complexity of the online environment and as a business owner himself, Roy needed to find a simple solution.

“Like all business owners I have multiple demands on my time and can’t be an expert in everything. With numerous platforms, multiple logins and passwords and mounting annual fees I had to find an effective way to be part of the online marketing revolution.” It was this problem that lead Roy to create Amplifier.

Already Amplifier has made talking to customers and managing their online reputation easier for more than 50 New Zealand small businesses including strong brands like; Lone Star, Chipmunks and Veggie Boys. More than 60,000 New Zealand customers are now connected to their favorite businesses via the Amplifier portal.

McArthur and Symons Electrical use the service, with Director Evan Rees saying: “My specialty is electrical and small businesses management and I would often put marketing on the back burner as I was too busy. Now that I have someone dedicated to marketing it is receiving the necessary focus.”
