Following sold-out seasons in Melbourne and Brisbane and an extended run in Sydney, Tex Perkins takes the stage at the Pacific Blue Festival Club as the legendary Johnny Cash in a show which traces the compelling life story of the hard-living hero of country music.

Selling over 50 million records in an extensive career which continued right up to his death in 2003, Cash covered a range of genres including rockabilly, blues, rock 'n' roll and folk.

"One of the wildest and most electrifying front men in rock" (Herald Sun), multi-ARIA award-winning Australian singer Tex Perkins brings the legend to life, leading The Tennessee Four and joined by singer Rachael Tidd as June Carter.

The Man in Black: The Johnny Cash Story features dozens of Cash's greatest hits including Ring of Fire, I Walk the Line and Bird on a Wire in a show which tells the story of his rise to stardom, his fight for survival and his eventual redemption.

The Pacific Blue Festival Club is being built especially for the 2010 New Zealand International Arts Festival. Wellington waterfront's Shed 6 will be transformed into the Pacific Blue Festival Club - complete with a 600-seat theatre, lounge bar and catering for up to 300 guests.

Celebrated New Zealand theatre designer, Tony Rabbit, has designed the new venue for the New Zealand International Arts Festival. The nightclub lounge, features a glamorous sweeping staircase, where you can eat and drink before, after and during performances.
