Netball Mainland name National Netball League squad

Friday 19 February, 2016

Netball Mainland is proud to announce the squad of 16 players for Netball New Zealand’s inaugural National Netball League (NNL).

The squad, to be guided by coach Nic Kelly, features an exciting blend of youth and experience, including a number of fresh faces.

Several of the players selected have had a taste of franchise Netball in the past, as well as a handful of players who have represented at the U23 level.

Head Coach Nic Kelly said she was impressed with the progress, commitment and focus of the players selected.

"I am proud that we can name such an impressive team that have such great qualities both on and off the court,” Kelly said.

“It has been an outstanding undertaking for them to make it to this point; hours of self-directed pre-season training, a 2-day testing journey, a number of trial games, fitness testing and full dedication over the last two weeks.

“We look forward to the season ahead and watching them develop further.”
