Media alert (2.55am, 14 November): North Canterbury Earthquakes
St John is sending resources into
North Canterbury including our command unit.
We are organising rescue helicopters and additional paramedics in case they are required.
We are starting to get reports of injuries from the earthquake area, including Culverden area and Kaikoura. However, at this stage we do not have specifics.
This is a developing situation, and we will provide an update when we have further information.
