Court of Appeal president appointed
Attorney-General David Parker today
announced the appointment of the Honourable William Gillow
Gibbes Austen Young as the President of the Court of Appeal.
The Honourable Justice Young graduated from the University of Canterbury and Cambridge University. He joined the Christchurch firm of RA Young Hunter and Co. in 1978, leaving in 1988 to practice as a barrister.
Justice Young was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1991, a High Court Judge in 1997 and a Judge of the Court of Appeal in 2003.
