Green MPs to attend
Turangawaewae
Green MPs will be visiting Turangawaewae at
various points during the next few days farewell the late
Maori Queen, Dame Te Atairangikaahu.
MPs Metiria Turei,
Keith Locke, and Nandor Tanczos will arrive at Turangawaewae
tomorrow to pay their respects over the weekend. Dame Te
Ata's funeral on Monday will be attended by Co-Leader
Jeanette Fitzsimons, and MPs Sue Kedgley, Metiria Turei, and
Nandor Tanczos.
"Dame Te Ata was a true leader who made a
vast contribution to the good of her people. We are glad to
be able to have a strong Green Party presence at her tangi
to acknowledge her invaluable contribution, celebrate her
life, and support her whanau in this time of grief," Ms

says.
