to Minister of Finance Released
Finance Minister Bill English has today released the Briefing to the Incoming Minister of Finance from the Treasury.
The briefing document Medium-term economic challenges and an accompanying cover letter are now available on the Beehive website: http://beehive.govt.nz/sites/all/files/Treasury_BIM.pdf
A second briefing document, Economic and Fiscal Strategy - Responding to your Priorities, is being withheld under 9(2)(f)(iv) of the Official Information Act to "maintain the current constitutional conventions protecting the confidentiality of advice tendered by ministers and officials." This document will be released early in 2009.
A third briefing document, Guide to the Treasury, will be available on the Treasury website today (www.treasury.govt.nz).
