Congratulations to the Black Ferns on
fourth consecutive title
Labour Leader Phil
Goff today congratulated the Black Ferns on defending their
title as World Champions.
“The hard fought victory is the fourth consecutive title for the Black Ferns at the Rugby World Cup,” Phil Goff said.
“This is a fantastic achievement. Few teams can lay claim to such an impressive winning record and I am sure all New Zealanders will feel a sense of pride in their achievement.
“Congratulations also go to Black Ferns player Carla Hohepa who has been named by the International Rugby Board as World Player of the Year.
“Retaining the world title and having a New Zealand player named as World Player of the Year shows the depth of skill in rugby in this country,” Phil Goff said.
