Hobbit movie issues need resolution

spokesperson Steve Chadwick is today supporting calls for
producers of the Hobbit to meet with union representatives
over pay and conditions on the movie.
“This movie represents hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars to the New Zealand economy, and it’s important that this stand-off be resolved quickly,” Steve Chadwick said.
“We need a kiwi solution and we need it fast and we need the Government to be involved in the solution.
“The Ministers of Labour and Economic Development need to be involved in working on this issue, they simply cannot sit on their hands.
“New Zealand is a fantastic destination for movies to be made, and I am confident that this issue can be resolved if all parties work together,” Steve Chadwick says.
