Our Assets, Our Future
Press Release
MANA Leader Hone Harawira
Thursday 10th May
Our Assets, Our Future
“Every once in a while an
issue comes along that brings parties with widely different
philosophies together” said MANA Leader Hone Harawira.
“The Government’s plan to sell off our assets is just
such an issue”.
“Selling our state assets didn’t work last time” said Harawira. “We sold Telecom for a song and we’ve been regretting it ever since and we sold the Railways and ended up having to buy them back again!!”
“This isn’t about politics anymore. This is about our doing our bit to secure the future for your grandchildren and mine”.
“If you care about that future and you want to make sure our mokopuna get to enjoy the benefits that we enjoy from assets that we own, then I urge you to please sign the petition for a referendum to stop the sale”.
Petitions can be downloaded from the MANA website www.mana.net.nz
