Skycity Workers vote against TPPA
"Skycity workers may
have to watch the TPPA being signed, but they have voted
overwhelmingly against it" said Joe Carolan, Convenor of the
Skycity Employees Association of Unite Union.
Unite union polled its 830 members who work at the Casino, where the TPPA is due to be signed on February the 4th.
The union supplied both sides of the argument, and simply asked if they supported or rejected the TPPA. A resounding 84% rejected it.
"It's a pity that the Government is denying workers the right to vote on the TPPA, so Unite stepped in to ensure democracy was heard."
