New Business Website Launched
Investment, opportunities, diversity, accessibility and performance. These are the benefits being used by Manukau City’s new Business Investment website to target businesses, investors and business support agencies.
Launched on 1 December the website (www.manukau.govt.nz/business_investment) contains information on profitable opportunities available to potential investors, and the many business advantages Manukau has to offer. Competitive rents, an extensive land bank, an established infrastructure, large workforce and proximity to large national and international ports are just some of the draw cards included.
Manukau City Council’s Director of Community & Economic Development, Dr Praful Rambhai says “This site is for the businesses of the city to stimulate growth. We’ve worked very hard to make sure the site is informative, valuable and commercially accurate. The Business Investment website is the first part of a promotional package designed to market Manukau to New Zealand’s businesses and the world. We’ll also be producing a CD Rom and printed material in 2001. “
The site also features information on the local economy and the available assistance from Council, Enterprising Manukau and other local and national agencies. Crisp, clean, uncluttered pages with a careful use of colour make the site very readable and visually attractive.
Manukau City’s Mayor, Sir Barry Curtis says “We want New Zealand and the world to know what a great place Manukau is for business. This website will be a wonderful way of doing that.”
