World Water Day Protest Organised for Manukau City
There will be a protest against the Auckland Region Water Review and councils' refusal to accept the People's Option as an alternative for the public to consider alongside the three pro-user charge / commericalisation / franchising (read privatisation) official options.
The UN has decided the theme for World Water Day this year is to be "Water & Health". Paradoxically, while the government is well on its way to taking public health in NZ out from under the Commerce Act to try and reverse the wreckage caused by the past 13 years of market health models, the same government is still not responding to demands to also preclude water services from the Commerce Act, and restore their status as essential public services.
PLEASE JOIN THIS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PROTEST ACTION!!
