Spaces Available In Manukau Arts Seminars
Having trouble getting funding for your arts projects? A few spaces are still available in the first of a series of arts management seminars in Manukau.
Manukau arts groups are encouraged to take up this opportunity provided by the Manukau City Creative Communities Committee and the University of Auckland.
Council’s Creative Communities Funding co-ordinator Jeanine Gribbin says that the seminars are great value and are specifically designed for not-for-profit community arts groups.
“The first seminar looks at how to access funding for arts organisations. It's being held in Howick on Saturday 13 April. The subsidised one-day workshop will cover understanding and entering local funding processes, gathering information, making contacts, working with criteria and completing application forms.
“Tutor Jan Anderson has many years experience as a funding advisor and assessor and can pass on a wealth of ideas and tips to help you be more successful with your applications,” says Jeanine.
Upcoming seminars include the topics of project management, marketing and sponsorship.
The seminar cost is $35 per person. Spaces are limited. For a registration form call Jeanine on 262-8900 ext 8941.
