Funding deadlines loom
Manukau City Council is reminding residents not to miss out on Creative Communities funding for community arts projects.
Applications close next Friday 20 September in the last funding round for 2002.
Also, Manukau groups that provide social services have until 27 September to submit their applications for support from the Council’s Social Investment Fund.

Council’s Creative Communities Funding co-ordinator Jeanine Gribbin says registrations are still being taken for the third in a series of subsidised arts management seminars in Manukau.
Focusing on marketing skills for community arts groups, the seminar will be held on Saturday 28 September, 9am to 4.30pm at te tuhi – the mark, Reeves Road, Pakuranga. The seminar includes marketing planning and the communications mix, knowing your audience, the arts and media and publicity planning. Tara Werner, Director of Arts Management Programmes, at the University of Auckland, will present the workshop.
The seminar cost is $35 per person.
