Lane Closures On Auckland Harbour Bridge
Lane Closures On Auckland Harbour Bridge
Transit New Zealand would like to advise all motorists travelling over the Auckland Harbour Bridge that there will be lane closures on three nights this month.
Resealing will be undertaken on both the north and southbound clip-ons, and all work will take place at the northern end of the bridge (near Northcote Point). All work will be undertaken at night (between 5.00pm and 6.30am)
On Saturday 9 November, work will take place on the northbound clip-on lanes, and the closure will include the Curran Street on-ramp.
On Saturday 16 November and Saturday 23 November, work will take place on the southbound clip-ons. During this time the Shelly Beach Road off-ramp will also be closed.
During the closures, the moveable median lane barrier will be moved to allow for three northbound and three southbound lanes to continue operating for traffic.
The noisier aspect off the work (milling) will be undertaken between 5pm and 11pm. This will be followed by paving operations and lane markings, which will be completed for reopening at 6.30am.
All work is weather permitting, and in the case of bad weather, work will resume on the next clear weekend.
Transit thanks motorists, and residents in advance for their co-operation and apologises in advance for any inconvenience.
