Today’s aerial operation to wipe out the painted apple moth commenced soon after first light.
The three aircraft completed approximately 50% of the 10,000-hectare eradication zone. The aircraft were grounded around 12 noon by rising winds and temperatures.
The helicopter was able to cover all of the high priority infested areas within the eradication zone this morning.
Weather permitting, aerial
