Changes on Gillies Ave On-ramp Northbound
Changes on Gillies Ave On-ramp Northbound
The Gillies Ave northbound on-ramp on the Southern Motorway will be temporarily reduced to one lane from Monday 14 April, with two lanes merging shortly after the entry to the on-ramp.
This is necessary to allow for ongoing construction within the Central Motorway (Spaghetti) Junction. Activities will include vegetation clearance, drainage works and preparation for retaining walls.
The left lane and shoulder of the Gillies Ave on-ramp and approximately 200 metres of the motorway shoulder will be closed to traffic and used as a work area.
Transit New Zealand advises that there may be delays and thanks motorists in advance for their co-operation and understanding.
Transit also
reminds motorists to drive carefully past road works and be
mindful of signals. For more information on this project,
visit the project information centre at the corner of
Stanley Street & Alten Road, phone 0800 To Freeflow (0800
