Wellesley Street Off-Ramp Closed
Wellesley Street Off-Ramp Closed
Transit New Zealand advises that the Wellesley St Off-ramp will be closed on Saturday 24 May from 6am until 3pm to allow work on temporary barriers.
Traffic management will be in place during the closure and motorists are requested to use Symonds Street or Port off-ramps as alternatives.
The Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to the port will not be affected
Transit asks motorists to drive carefully past road works and be mindful of signals and traffic management measures.
Roadworks in this area are part of the Grafton Gully motorway upgrading project which, when completed, will provide direct access between the motorway and the port area.
For more information on this project, visit the
project information centre at the corner of Stanley Street &
Alten Road, phone 0800 To Freeflow (0800 853 733) or visit
