Grafton Rd on-ramp will close for lane closure
Grafton Rd on-ramp will close for lane closure extension
Transit New Zealand advises that from 9pm Sunday 15 June 2003 until 6am Monday 16 June 2003, the Grafton Road on-ramp to the Northwestern Motorway will be closed.
Roadworks in this area are part of ongoing motorway upgrading works in the Grafton Gully area.
The ramp closure is required to allow the installation of temporary barriers and traffic cones that will extend the existing lane closure on the on-ramp. When the ramp reopens on Monday 16 June, the current single lane on the Grafton Rd on-ramp will be extended to the Symonds Street overbridge. Motorists can expect barriers and traffic cones on either side of the ramp. The lane closure will be in place until January 2005.
Motorists are asked to use alternative routes during the ramp closure on Sunday night. Diversions will be clearly signposted and Transit asks motorists to drive carefully past road works and to be mindful of traffic management measures.
In case of bad weather, the work will be undertaken on the next clear night.
