Travel pass discounted for Britomart Festival Day

Bus, ferry & train pass discounted for Britomart Festival Day

This coming Saturday 26 July the Auckland Discovery Pass, an integrated day pass offered on almost all Auckland bus, ferry & train companies, will be sold at the special price of $9 to make it even easier for people to visit the Britomart Transport Centre on its Festival Day.

The Festival day will be an opportunity for the people of Auckland to see the new Britomart Centre as it nears completion. Of interest will be the location of the new bus stops, the new rail station, the latest low floor low emission buses plus a collection of vintage buses from MOTAT. In addition there will be added color and entertainment supplied by street entertainers and musicians.

The Auckland Discovery Pass, launched in April this year, is the result of Auckland bus, rail and ferry companies working together to deliver a new and easy way for people to utilise public transport services around the Auckland region. The pass is normally priced at $12 and is sold by bus drivers, train crew and at the Fuller’s Ferry ticket office.

The Auckland Discovery Pass can be used between 5am on the day of purchase, through to 4am the following day. The Auckland Discovery Pass is available on virtually all trains and buses between Drury & Beachlands/Maraetai in the South to Waimauku and Wenderholm/Waiwera in the North, plus inner-harbour Fullers ferries.
